About NTU Lab Spotlight

An initiative by the Office of International Affairs — connecting the world with Taiwan's leading research community.

Our Platform

Lab Spotlight is an initiative by the Office of International Affairs at National Taiwan University (NTU), designed to enhance the university's international academic image. This platform features an online database of research centers and key laboratories across NTU's colleges, highlighting their research strengths and achievements.

The initiative aims to deepen the understanding of NTU's robust research capabilities among global academic, industry, and government communities while fostering international collaborations.

Users can access detailed information about principal investigators, contact details, the scale of research activities, and international collaboration experiences for each research center and laboratory. Join us in exploring the exceptional research landscape at NTU and discover how our innovative work contributes to advancing knowledge and addressing global challenges!

Why Lab Spotlight

At the forefront of discovery, NTU's laboratories are where curiosity meets commitment — and where the questions of today become the solutions of tomorrow.

Knowledge does not exist in isolation. Behind every breakthrough is a community of researchers, students, and collaborators who dedicate their careers to pushing the boundaries of human understanding. NTU Lab Spotlight was created to make that community visible — to connect the world with the remarkable science happening within our walls.

From the molecular to the planetary, from the clinical to the computational, NTU's research ecosystem spans every dimension of modern inquiry. This platform is your gateway into that world.

Message from the President

National Taiwan University has long stood as a beacon of learning and innovation in Asia. Our mission has never been confined to the education of students alone — it extends to the pursuit of knowledge that benefits society at large, across borders and across generations.

Lab Spotlight embodies this mission. By shining a light on the groundbreaking work carried out in our research centers and laboratories, we invite the global community to engage with NTU not merely as an institution, but as a partner in addressing the world's most pressing challenges — from climate change and public health to social equity and technological transformation.

I am proud of every researcher, every lab team, and every student who contributes to this ecosystem. I warmly welcome scholars, industry leaders, and policymakers around the world to connect with us, collaborate with us, and grow with us.

President, National Taiwan University
