The Colorectal Cancer Screening and Prevention Research Team at the National Taiwan University College of Medicine is a multidisciplinary team of experienced gastroenterologists, cancer screening experts, modeling and decision analysis experts, and molecular biologists. Its scope includes innovative applications of colonoscopy technology, development of biomarkers for early detection of colorectal cancer, and evaluation of screening effectiveness and various screening strategies. Together, they collaborate to develop and implement innovative screening and prevention strategies for colorectal cancer. With a strong track record of conducting multi-center clinical trials and international collaborations, the team has been recognized for their groundbreaking research in prestigious international journals such as Annals of Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology, Gut, American Journal of Gastroenterology, Clinical Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, Endoscopy, Cancer, and so on. Currently, the team's research is supported by several Taiwanese government funding agencies, including the National Science and Technology Council and the Ministry of Health and Welfare, as well as healthcare industry collaborators. By leveraging their expertise and resources, the team aims to reduce the incidence and mortality rates of colorectal cancer and improve public health outcomes in Taiwan and beyond.
