The applications of optoelectronics in daily life become increasingly attractive. With the advantages of small size and compatibility with electronics, optoelectronic products are expanding and have become essential technologies in daily life. However, the development of technology could also cause an adverse impact on the environment. Therefore, Advanced Photonics Application Research Laboratory pays special attention to photonics topics that are beneficial to the environment. Our choice of research direction is particularly meaningful. In the area of solar cells, we explore the sandwich evaporation technique to improve the utilization rate of process materials. For silicon photonics, we investigate nano-micron structure for Si-based Schottky mechanisms for infrared sensing technology without the use of high-cost materials. In display research, we aim at high-efficiency fluorescent arrays without rare-earth elements in order to achieve environmentally pollution-free optoelectronic applications.
