The laboratory is a domestic pioneer of underwater acoustics. Over the past 30 years, it has been professional and has assisted in the research and development of national defense technology. In the past ten years, it has assisted the wind power industry in the development of green energy. It uses acoustics in cetacean acoustics and environmental monitoring and observation. It is expected to devote itself to energy development and Ecological conservation and balance. Since 2016, the United Nations began to promote the Sustainable Development Goals (Sustainable Development Goals, SDGs), this laboratory represents SDG7-affordable clean energy (Affordable and Clean Energy) and SDG14-life below water (Life below Water) and other two indicators, the team will continue to contribute in academic and industrial aspects, and actively shine. Research fields: Underwater acoustics, Ocean engineering, Signal processing, Marine acoustics, Passive acoustic monitoring.
