We are an emerging research and development team from the Department of Chemical Engineering at National Taiwan University. In response to the aging population and the increase in chronic diseases, we are utilizing the latest chemical engineering materials and conducting multidisciplinary research in areas such as biomedical engineering and regenerative medicine. We collaborate with renowned research institutions and medical facilities to develop groundbreaking new technologies. Our goal is to research and develop novel composite biomaterials for clinical applications, with the aim of providing comprehensive and innovative healthcare for all individuals by overcoming various medical challenges, we strive to enhance the quality of life. Our laboratory focuses on developing multifunctional biomedical coatings using vapor-phase deposition techniques. These coatings have broad applications in biomaterial modification and surface processing of biomedical devices. Additionally, we are utilizing this vapor-phase encapsulation technology to develop a new generation of intraocular lenses. Furthermore, we are pioneering new processes using vapor-phase polymerization techniques to create nanoscale porous materials and establish modular tissue engineering scaffolds. This research contributes to the advancement of regenerative medicine technologies, enabling the regeneration or repair of organs and tissues.
