Our lab focuses on detecting environmental organic pollutants such as perfluoroalkyl substances, phthalate esters, and bisphenol A and its analogs. Our lab utilizes liquid chromatography/tandem mass spectrometry to determine these chemicals in the environment and human body at the ppb level. In addition to quantitation analysis, we also use high-resolution mass spectrometry to conduct suspect screening for identifying the chemicals which we usually expose. Due to the complexity of environmental samples and biospecimens, sample pretreatment is crucial for analysis, thus, we are dedicated to sample pretreatment techniques such as solid-phase extraction and QuEChERS. We aim to establish analytical methods for detecting environmental organic pollutants in the environment and the human body.
