The Sun Lab investigates the ecology and evolution of interactions between species in a rapidly changing world. We are a diverse and multi-disciplinary group based in the International Degree Program in Climate Change and Sustainable Development at National Taiwan University. We test ecological and evolutionary hypotheses, primarily focusing on burying beetles and their phoretic mites as model symbiosis, in response to the combined impacts of climate change and urbanisation. We use an integrated approach, combining field surveys, experimental evolution, and manipulative experiments. Our overarching goal is to understand how species interact and adapt flexibly to a rapidly changing environment.
